Possession of weapons charges

File # 2018-19847: Possession/Carrying/Concealed Weapons

On June 25, 2018 at 9:30 p.m. PAPS attended to a business in the Cornerstone Shopping District on a report of a male threatening people with a knife and then had locked himself in the bathroom.

Officers arrived on scene and arrested the male without incident. Two large knives were retrieved from the washroom.

A 31-year-old male from Prince Albert is charged with possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public peace and breach of a probation order to not possess knives (Information # 991056395).

The suspect will answer to charges in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.
