Prince Albert Police responded to 259 calls for service over the weekend. The majority of calls involved disturbances and intoxicated persons. File 2020-23277 – CED Deployment Police were called to the 900 Block of 2nd Street East just before midnight Sunday for a report of a disturbance. Prince Albert Police focused on distracted driving during a one-day traffic safety blitz in the city June 24. The initiative was in conjunction with SGI’s June traffic safety spotlight. Over the course of eight hours, members with Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan (CTSS) and the Prince Albert Police Traffic Services section issued 15 tickets to drivers using their cell phones while behind the wheel.
