Following additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 amongst members of the Prince Albert Police Service, efforts are continuing to sanitize and disinfect both police locations.
To date, the police service is reporting 6 positive cases of the virus. The officers involved are currently isolating as per Public Health guidelines and will not return to duty until cleared by a medical health professional.
To protect the privacy of the individual members involved, the police service will not be releasing the names of those affected by COVID-19.
Further updates on positive case numbers within the Prince Albert Police Service will be posted to our website at www.papolice.ca.
The front offices remain closed to the public and some calls for service will be handled over the phone where appropriate. Those wanting to attend the main station at 45-15th Street West in person will be required to use the telephone and buzzer near the front entrance.
The health and safety of members and staff, and the wider community, is a priority. The police service is continuing with contact tracing efforts underway by the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
As previously released, members and staff are complying with public health orders to wear masks where distancing cannot be guaranteed, including while handling calls involving members of the public.
