Weekend Update – July 15, 2019

Prince Albert Police responded to 215 calls for service between Friday evening and Monday morning. This number is down from the same time the previous year, when officers responded to 253 calls for service.

The majority of calls for service over the weekend were for intoxicated people and disturbances. Police made 33 arrests.

File #2019-22307 – Operate Conveyance While Impaired

Police charged a 34-year-old man with operating a conveyance while impaired in connection with an incident in the area of Sixth Avenue East and 48th Street Sunday morning. Witnesses told police a man driving a truck had struck a tow truck in the area. Damage to the two vehicles is estimated at approximately $10,000.

File #2019-22195 – Weapons Complaint

A 20-year-old man will appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court Monday morning on charges of assault with a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon and breach of court orders in relation to an incident in the 600 Block of 15th Street West Saturday morning. Police received reports of a man with a knife in the area and located a suspect soon after.
