Weekend Update - December 9, 2018

The Prince Albert Police Service had a steady weekend responding to 207 calls for service between Friday evening and Sunday morning with 36 arrests.  Top calls for service were intoxicated person calls (24) and disturbance calls (15).

Recovered Stolen Vehicle #2018-40044

On December 9, 2018 at 11:15 p.m. the Prince Albert Police Service attempted to conduct a vehicle stop on a white SUV traveling northbound on 5 Avenue East. The vehicle attempted to evade police by traveling out of the city on Highway 3 and then taking a side road. The vehicle was traveling at high speeds and lost control sliding into the ditch.

The male driver and female passenger were arrested without incident. The vehicle was found by police to be stolen out of Sturgeon Lake and towed.

A 27-year-old male from Prince Albert is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle exceeding $5,000, operation of a motor vehicle in a manner dangerous to the public, failure to stop for peace officers in an attempt to evade them and breach of a probation order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour (Information #991074526).
