Prince Albert Police Service had a busy weekend, responding to 292 calls for service between Thursday evening and Monday morning. Officers made 53 arrests, 33 of the arrests were for people causing disturbances. The top three calls for service were for disturbances, evictions and intoxicated persons. There were two major fire calls Prince Albert Police Service attended to over the past four days.
2018 - 10497: Fire at Prince Albert Municipal Airport
On April 15, 2018 at approximately 11:24pm, the Prince Albert Police Service responded to a structure fire at the Prince Albert Municipal Airport. Prince Albert Fire Department and Parkland Ambulance were also on scene. Fire crews worked to contain the fire in an aircraft hanger with heavy fire on the interior.
Police and Fire remain on scene today. No persons were harmed in the fire. Damages are estimated in the millions. The fire is under investigation.
2018-10240: Suspicious Fire
On April 13, 2018 at 5:30 a.m. Prince Albert Police Service was dispatched to a fire call at a residence on the 400 Block 12 Street West.
The house was fully engulfed in flames. Prince Albert Fire Department were on scene and managed to contain the fire, putting it out. There were no occupants in the house at the time of the fire.
The fire is being investigated by the Prince Albert Police Service and is considered suspicious. There are no suspects at this time.
