Three people are in custody after police attended to a family dispute Wednesday evening.
At approximately 8:00 p.m., September 5, 2018 police attended to a residence in the 200 Block of 25 Street West for a complaint of a family dispute in the backyard of their residence. On arrival the lone officer could hear yelling coming from the rear of the residence and observed two males physically fighting. The officer attempted to break up the fight. Two males and a female believed to be under the influence of an intoxicant became combative with the officer. Due to officer safety concerns the officer deployed their conductive energy device on a combative male. The deployment was unsuccessful as the male continued to be combative and resist arrest.
Additional officers arrived and took three people into custody.
The officer suffered minor injuries.
A 36-year-old male, 20-year-old male and 35-year-old female are all charged with assaulting a police officer while engaged in the lawful execution of duties (Info # 991064290). All three accused appeared in court on Thursday.
