Update to Homicide - 2017-8418

Christian Charles, age 21 years, and Austin Janvier, age 23 years, were both arrested yesterday on Manslaughter charges in relation to the March 22^nd homicide of 34 year old Damian Ballantyne.  Charles and Janvier were arrested early in the investigation as suspects but later released.  Both accused were charged jointly and will make their first court appearance in Provincial Court today.  Information # 991029747.

At 1:22 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, Prince Albert Police Service attended to a residence in the 300 Block 9th Street East to assist Parkland Ambulance with a non-responsive male.  Patrol members attended to the residence where the 34-year-old male succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
