Police apprehended a 25-year-old male Thursday morning who had several outstanding Criminal Code warrants.
On May 9, 2019 just before 9:30 a.m., a patrol officer observed a male known to police from previous dealings travelling in a SUV in the 200 Block of 16th Street West. Officers confirmed the suspect had several outstanding firearm related warrants and attempted a traffic stop. The suspect vehicle fled, evading police. Officers did not pursue due to public safety concerns. Additional officers attended the area the SUV was last seen and moments later observed the suspect on foot in the 300 Block of 20 Street West. The male surrendered himself to police.
The 25-year-old man from Prince Albert is charged with failing to stop for police (Info # 991090106). The accused will appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.
