Police asking assistance to prevent stolen cheques being cashed

The Prince Albert Police Service is asking for the public's assistance to be vigilant to help prevent fraudulent attempts to cash stolen cheques and to help identify the suspects. The cheques were originally stolen from the Prince Albert Business Improvement District in January 2017. There has been recent attempts by individuals to cash these cheques at businesses. File # 17-40881: Drug Charges On Thursday, November 30, 2017 shortly after 11 p.m. a vehicle containing suspected stolen merchandise was pulled over by patrol on 5th Avenue and River Street. The male driver and female passenger were both arrested. The vehicle was searched and miscellaneous stolen electronics and other items were recovered. Drugs were also located and seized.
