There will be more red and blue lights at the Art Hauser Centre Wednesday night as the Prince Albert Police Service and MADD team up to prevent impaired driving during Wednesday's Prince Albert Raiders hockey game.
"If you choose to drink at the game Wednesday night then make the responsible choice to not drive," said Traffic Division Sergeant Jesse Barlow.
The Police Service will be strictly enforcing traffic laws, focusing on impaired driving and alcohol related offences. Mothers Against Drinking and Driving (MADD) will be in attendance with officers.
The increased visibility is part of province-wide increased traffic enforcement strengthening and checks over the holiday season.
SGI is funding additional police resources focusing on impaired driving throughout the province over the holiday season. Part of the funding is also being used to fund 'positive tickets' which the Prince Albert Police Service has been using along with promotional items to encourage safe driving that follows the Traffic Safety Act.
