The Prince Albert Police Service has launched a new website.
The old website had used dated technology and was scheduled to be replaced. The new Prince Albert Police Service website has been in internal development for several months and is now launched. The site is on a new web host provider but will remain its url name at www.papolice.ca.
On Wednesday, November 8, 2017 Prince Albert Police Service staff discovered that its old home website had been changed and the front page replaced. IT professionals were immediately notified and the website was shut down.
No internal Prince Albert Police Service information, files or systems were affected and will continue to be maintained separate from the new public website.
Some new features on the new website include an interactive crime map which allows residents to see crime locations and crime types by neighborhood. The website is also designed to be more mobile responsive, allowing a better user experience for those surfing the web from their smart phones or tablets.
Users also now have an option to subscribe to Prince Albert Police Service media releases on the website to stay updated on the latest news by entering their email.
The public can also still stay updated by following Prince Albert Police Service on Facebook and on Twitter to see all the latest news and events.
