Mail Box Thief Caught - August 28, 2018

A Prince Albert man is in custody after being caught breaking into a mail box in the city last night.

On August 27, 2018 just after 8:00 p.m. patrol officers responded to 9^th Avenue East and 3^rd Street East as it appeared a suspect was breaking into mail boxes. Officers immediately attended the area and located a suspect matching the description given by witnesses. The suspect admitted to breaking into a mail box and was in possession of a wrench that was being used to try and pry open the mail box.

The 37-year-old male from Prince Albert is charged with mischief and breach of court order (Info # 991063344). The accused will make his first court appearance today.
