Media Release - CEW Deployment

At approximately 11 p.m. Wednesday night, police were dispatched to a residence in the Unit Block of 30^th Street East for a report of a family dispute. The man also had outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Shortly after entering the residence, officers were confronted by an aggressive male and a struggle ensued. Police deployed a Conductive Energy Weapon (CEW) in order to effect arrest.

A 36-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene on outstanding warrants, and is also facing two charges of assaulting a peace officer in relation to this incident. [Information 991189391]

No one was injured as a result of this arrest.
