HOMICIDE – File 2020-9976

Further to information released Sunday evening, the Prince Albert Police Service can confirm that police are currently investigating the homicides of three people in connection with a serious incident in the 300 Block of MacArthur Drive Sunday.

Police were dispatched to a residence in the area just after 4 p.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, officers located a 56-year-old man, a 56-year-old woman, and a seven-year-old boy deceased at the home.

A five-year-old girl has been transferred to hospital in Edmonton in critical condition.

Members of the Criminal Investigations Division and the Forensic Identification Section remain on scene.

The investigation is in the preliminary stages, but investigators do not believe this to be a random incident and do not believe there is a risk to public safety.

Members of the Prince Albert Police Service are currently at the scene of a serious incident in the 300 Block of MacArthur Drive.

Multiple patrol members, along with members from the Criminal Investigations Division and Forensic Identification Section, remain on scene.

No other details are available at this time. The Prince Albert Police Service is asking members of the public to avoid the area while the investigation continues.
