Media Release – ICE Unit Investigation Leads to Charge against Shaunavon Resident

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has charged a Shaunavon man with child pornography offences in relation to an investigation into the online accessing of child pornography through a popular online social media application. On April 21st members of the ICE Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Shaunavon that was identified as the location where the offences were occurring. Several electronic devices were seized for further forensic analysis. Evidence was located on the devices.

Steven King, age 57, of Shaunavon was arrested today and has been charged with;

Possession of Child Pornography – Sec. 163.1 (4) C.C.

He was released by a Justice of the Peace in Shaunavon and will be appearing in Provincial Court September 2nd.
