Prince Albert Police responded to a report of a disturbance at the bus transfer point in the unit block of 14th Street East shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. Three patrol cars responded to the area within minutes following reports of multiple people fighting.
One woman was taken into custody at the scene for being intoxicated in public.
Police continue to proactively patrol this area on a regular basis to promote public safety. Since the start of this year, members have conducted 56 proactive patrols at this location.
The extra patrols were conducted on various dates and over a variety of times throughout the day.
The police service’s Community Policing Unit is also working with the City of Prince Albert to review opportunities for environmental or landscaping updates at the bus transfer station. The Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) program uses urban and architectural design to minimize opportunities for crime.
Police are reviewing surveillance video from the scene and continue to actively investigate Tuesday’s incident. No charges have been laid.
