Firearms Charges Laid

The Prince Albert Police Service responded to an incident involving firearms in the 400 Block of River St. W. the morning of May 23.

Witnesses described hearing a gunshot in the area around 9:40 a.m. No injuries were reported.

Police flooded the area and spoke with several individuals, however no arrests were made. Following extensive investigation, officers arrested a 21-year-old man late Friday afternoon in relation to this incident. The man was arrested without incident at a business in the 3600 Block of Second Ave. W. and is facing numerous firearms-related charges and breach of court orders.

He is scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court Monday morning.
