Media Release – Sask. ICE Unit Investigation Leads to Arrest of Regina Man

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has charged a Regina man with a child pornography offence in relation to an investigation into the online accessing of child pornography through a cloud storage service. On September 7th, 2021, members of the ICE Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Regina that was identified as the location where the offences were occurring.

Child pornography was located at the residence and several electronic devices were seized for further forensic analysis.

Mark Jaegli, age 66, of Regina was arrested at the scene and has been charged with;

Possession of Child Pornography – Sec. 163.1 (4) C.C.

He was released from the Regina Police Service by a Justice of the Peace on numerous conditions last evening.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of the Provincial Coordinator S/Sgt Shawn Stubbs and investigators from Prince Albert Police Service, RCMP, Regina Police Service, and the Saskatoon Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
