Two suspects in court today after attempting to rob a cab driver yesterday morning.

On December 12, 2018 at approximately 6:41 a.m., the Prince Albert Police Service responded to a call of an assault of a cab driver.

The cab driver stated that he was dropping off a male and female passenger at an apartment building on Bryant Place when the male pointed a firearm at the driver and demanded money. The driver attempted to take away the gun from the suspect, which discharged once with the bullet going through the cab, and then the suspect fled on foot.

Police a short time later attended to the apartment and located the male suspect with the gun on his person and the female who were both arrested.

A 20-year-old female from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan is charged with 14 firearm related offenses (Information #991074861).

A 23-year-old male from Muskoday, Saskatchewan is charged with 16 firearm related offenses and a breach of probation to not be a passenger in any taxi cab and to keep the peace and be of good behavior (Information #991074876).

The suspects will appear before Prince Albert Provincial Court today.
