The Prince Albert Police Service had a steady weekend responding to 189 calls for service between Friday 7:00pm and Monday at 7:00am. Some of the more notable calls included:
18-37881- Robbery
At a residence on 14th st west, a male known to people at the home, pulled an edged weapon and demanded property from the victim. A struggle ensued and the victim sustained minor injury, causing attendance to the hospital. Matter still under investigation and no arrests have been made.
18-37898- Assist RCMP
The RCMP requested PAPS assistance as a result from a shooting on Montreal Lake FN. We responded and assisted on containment. PSD Daxa and Cst Bighetty located the suspect after a brief track. File held by RCMP.
18-37948- Drug Impaired Driving
A vehicle stop was initiated by a PAPS officer on a vehicle with a burnt our tail light. An SFST and then DRE evaluation was completed, and the driver was found to be impaired by drug. The 18-year-old male subject was released and will make his first court appearance on January 21st, 2019 in provincial court.
18-37972- Break and enter/ Wilful Damage
Several homes in the west hill area were hit by break and enters and willful damages. With the assistance of PSD Daxa and Cst Bighetty, two individuals were located and charged with multiple offences. One male young offender was charged with break and enter X2, wilful damage X4 and breach of undertaking. One adult male was charges with break and enter X2, wilful damage X4, Possession of Break in instruments and breach of recognizance. The 22 year old and 16 year old males will make their first court appearance on November 19, 2018 in provincial court.
18-38021- Robbery
Two unknown males came to the door of a residence in the midtown area brandishing a weapon. The victim was able to hit the panic button on the house alarm, scaring off the subjects. Matter still under investigation and no arrests have been made.
