Weekend Update – May 7, 2018

Prince Albert Police Service had a busy weekend, responding to 325 calls for service between Friday evening and Monday morning. Officers made 38 arrests. The top calls for service were 49 intoxicated persons and 34 disturbance calls.

Break And Enter With Intent - 2018-12808

On May 3, 2018 at 8:03 p.m. Prince Albert Police Service attended to a call for a break-and-enter on the 2400 Block McDonald Avenue. The resident of the household was at home when a suspect male entered his living room. He physically removed the suspect from the house and held him until police arrived.

Police arrested the suspect and brought him back to the police station.

The 28-year-old male from Hatchet Lake, Saskatchewan is charged with break-and-enter with intent to comment an offence (Information # 991050336).

The suspect will face charges in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.

Impaired Driver - File # 13155 - Impaired Driver

On May 6, 2018 at 2:50 a.m. Prince Albert Police Service Patrol Unit located a suspected impaired driver swerving on the road on 600 Block Marquis Road. The vehicle was pulled over and an Assisted Screening Device (ASD) roadside test was conducted which the driver failed.

The female suspect was brought back to the Police Service and failed subsequent breathalyzer tests. The vehicle was towed.

The 22-year-old female from Prince Albert is charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and exceeding .08.

The suspect has since been released and will answer to charges in Prince Albert Provincial Court on June 12, 2018.
