Police responded to 328 calls for service over the weekend, including numerous calls related to intoxicated persons and disturbances. Police made 46 arrests between Friday evening and Monday morning.
File 2019-33595 – Possess Controlled Substance
Two people are scheduled to appear in court Monday in connection with a vehicle stop along 21st Street East Sunday night. While on routine patrol, police spotted a vehicle with expired plates. Upon further investigation, police located open alcohol, a bullet and small amounts of cocaine and methamphetamine inside the vehicle.
A 29-year-old man was arrested on outstanding RCMP warrants and is facing additional charges of possession of a controlled substance and obstruction in relation to the vehicle stop. [Information 991107386].
A 23-year-old woman is charged with possession of a controlled substance, obstruction and breach of court order. 
2019-33341 – Attempt Murder
Police were called to the 1200 Block of 12th St. W. Saturday afternoon for a complaint that a woman had been assaulted. The incident happened around 1:45 p.m. A 30-year-old woman was transported to hospital by Parkland Ambulance in serious condition.
A 32-year-old woman is charged with attempted murder and resisting arrest. , while a 33-year-old man is charged with obstruction of a police officer in connection with this incident. 
The victim and accused are known to each other.
