On June 1, 2018, at approximately 8:30 p.m. the Prince Albert Police Service attended to a weapons complaint of a male with a machete on 3rd Avenue West and 26th Street.
When officers attended they located the male and arrested the suspect with the weapon.
The 33-year-old suspect from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan is charged with possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public peace, not being authorized to carry a concealed weapon, and breach of a probation order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. (Information #991053810)
The suspect will answer to charges in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.
File # 2018 - 16722: Driving - Impaired
On June 2, 2018 at 3:04 a.m. Patrol was dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) on the 900 Block 1 Avenue West involving two vehicles. A male driver involved in the accident attempted to leave the scene by foot prior to officer arrival and was located a short distance away and arrested.
The male suspect failed his breathalyzer tests and is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, exceeding .08, being in care, charge or control of a motor vehicle in an accident and intending to escape, and being at large of their undertaking to be of good behaviour and keep the peace (Information #991053827).
The 30-year-old male accused from Prince Albert will answer to charges in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.
File # 2018-16886: Weapons Call
On June 3, 2018 at 12:03 p.m. officers were dispatched to the area of 12 Street West and 1st Avenue West for a weapons call. The male was located by officers on 12 Street West and 1st Avenue West. The male had his hands in his pockets and refused to comply with officer commands until an officer withdrew a taser and repeated commands and then the male surrendered complying with the officer. Located on the male was a large butcher knife.
The 52-year-old male from Prince Albert is charged with possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public peace and carrying a concealed weapon. (Information #991053938)
