Prince Albert Police responded to 294 calls for service over the weekend and made 42 arrests. The majority of calls were for disturbances (48) and intoxicated people (37).

Two women are facing charges of robbery after a woman reported her SUV was stolen from the 500 Block of 9th Street East. The woman reported that she and some friends were sitting inside the vehicle around 6:30 p.m. Sunday when they were approached by a group of people who threatened them and took the vehicle. Police arrested the two female suspects soon after the incident. The vehicle was recovered.
File #2019-21438- Assault with Weapon
Police have charged a 22-year-old man with assault with a weapon and carrying a concealed weapon in connection with an incident in which a 12-year-old boy was sprayed with bear mace. The incident happened in the 600 Block of 4th Avenue East around 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The boy was treated at the scene by Parkland Ambulance for minor injuries. The suspect and the victim are known to each other. The man is scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court Monday morning.

A 27-year-old man is facing charges of assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon, and uttering threats in relation to an incident Saturday in the 1000 Block of 13th Street West. Police were called to the area around 4:30 p.m. for a report of a man chasing a woman with a machete and threatening others in the area. The man will appear in court in Prince Albert Monday. The suspect and the victim are known to each other. No injuries were reported.
