The Prince Albert Police Service responded to 204 calls for service over the weekend and arrested 34 people. The top two calls for service were for disturbances (16) and evictions (16).
File #2018-1256 - Recovered Stolen Vehicle
On Saturday, January 13, 2017 at 6:36 a.m. patrol responded to 1400 12 Street West on report of a stolen vehicle.
The truck was left running with the keys in the ignition. A unknown male suspect was seen to be fleeing with the vehicle.
Then on Sunday, January 14, 2017 at 1:39 a.m. officers responded to a call of a suspect vehicle on 600 Block 15 Street West.
When officers arrived, they located a truck abandoned in the alley with no suspects in sight. There was some damage to the vehicle which was identified as the stolen truck from the previous day.
The vehicle was processed for evidence and the case is under investigation.
File #2018-1404 - Weapons
On Sunday, January 14, 2017 at 11:15 p.m. PAPS patrol members observed a vehicle parked running on the 800 Block 12 Street West.
The driver from the vehicle was missing at the time. Officers talked to the four passengers of the vehicle and confiscated an open bottle of alcohol in the vehicle. While searching for more open alcohol a duffel bag was located containing a 12 gauge shotgun with shot gun shells. The occupants of the vehicle were all arrested. In conducting the investigation police identified several occupants to have outstanding warrants.
A 26-year-old female from Prince Albert is charged with obstruction of a peace officer and being at large of her undertaking to reside in the approved residence from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. (Information #991037805).
A 30-year-old male from Southend is charged with two counts of breach of probation (Information #991037811).
The suspects appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.
