Weekend Update – April 23, 2018

Prince Albert Police Service had a busy weekend, responding to 302 calls for service between Friday evening and Monday morning. Officers made 58 arrests. The top calls for service were 57 calls of intoxicated persons and 40 calls disturbance related calls.

2018-10949: Possession of Firearms

On April 20, 2018 at 3:28 p.m. Prince Albert Police Service Patrol Unit was dispatched to 1300 13 Street West for a person who was wanted for breach of undertaking. When officers arrived they located the male suspect along with a female. The room was searched and a firearm was located. Both were arrested without incident by police on firearms charges.

A 15-year-old female from Prince Albert Saskatchewan is charged with five firearms related charges (Information #991048816).

A 25-year-old male from Prince Albert Saskatchewan is charged with nine firearms related offenses and a charge of being at large of his recognizance to not possess weapons (Information #991048810).

Both suspects will answer to charges in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.

2018-11035: Discharge of Firearm

At 6:41 a.m. on April 21, 2018 Prince Albert Police Service attended to a residence on 100 Block McIntosh Drive for a weapons complaint.

On arrival, officers observed a single bullet hole in a basement window of a residence. Officers spoke with the occupants of the house who were home at the time of the incident. Occupants advised they heard a “bang”. No occupants of the residence were injured. Police are actively investigating the incident. No arrests have been made and police have no suspects.

2018-11269: Recovered Stolen Vehicle

On April 23, 2018 at 12:39 a.m. Prince Albert Police Service Patrol located a truck stolen out of Canwood Saskatchewan driving on 15 Street West. Patrol activated emergency lights and sirens and the vehicle took off at a high rate of speed. For public safety, police did not pursue. RCMP partners were contacted as the vehicle left the city on Highway 302 West.

At 2:30 a.m. RCMP located the vehicle in MacDowall, Saskatchewan abandoned in a farm yard. Prince Albert Police Service Patrol attended to assist RCMP.

At 3:20 a.m. three suspects were located in a field a short distance away from the stolen truck and arrested without incident.

A 24-year-old female from Prince Albert is charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle exceeding $5,000, being at large of her recognizance to stay inside an approved residence from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. and breaches of her undertaking and probation orders (Info #991048958).

A 30-year-old male from Prince Albert is charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle exceeding $5,000 and breach of probation order (Info #991048957).

A 24-year-old female from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan is charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle exceeding $5,000 (Information #991048956).
