File #18-11538 Weapons charges
On April 24, 2018 at 7:32 p.m. Prince Albert Police Service responded to a break-and-enter in progress at a business on the 100 Block of 15 Street East. The suspects were attempting to break into a trailer behind the store. Police arrived and apprehended two male suspects carrying backpacks. One male was located with a sawed off .22 rifle with ammunition, loose pills and a knife. The second male had a knife.
A 34-year-old male from Prince Albert is charged with numerous firearms charges, obstructing a peace officer in the lawful execution of their duty by providing a false name, possession of methylphenidate, and breaching a probation order to not possess firearms (Information # 991049224).
A 23-year-old male from Saskatoon is charged with possession of a knife for a purpose dangerous to the public peace and breaching a probation order to not possess weapons (Information # 991049217).
