Media Release - Utter Threats/Mischief/Assault Peace Officer/Assault with a Weapon x 2

A 37-year-old man is facing numerous charges following an incident outside a business in the 3300 Block of 2^nd Avenue West Thursday afternoon.

Police were called to the parking lot of the business Thursday for a report that a man had started a fire in a garbage bin and threatened staff. Upon arrival, police located a man matching a description of the suspect nearby.

The man attempted to flee and became assaultive with police, however, he was safely taken into custody with the assistance of two passersby. There were no injuries.

Hector Robert Charlette is charged with uttering threats, assaulting a peace officer, mischief, and assault with a weapon x 2 in relation to this incident. [Information 991206926]
