Update - Sweetgrass Kennedy Search Efforts

After numerous witness interviews conducted by police investigators as well as evidence located, the unified search command team are focusing all search efforts to the North Saskatchewan River.

Trained Search and Rescue Personnel including Saskatoon Police Service Air Support Unit along with Prince Albert Fire Dept. and Saskatchewan Emergency Management Fire and Safety have been deployed.

Due to the dangers associated with the river bank, emergency personnel are asking the public and volunteers to avoid the area.

Emergency crews want to thank the public for the overwhelming support in assisting with the search for Sweetgrass. At this time volunteer search efforts are being concluded as the search conducted by qualified search and rescue personnel will continue.

The investigation indicates there is no cause for concern for public safety. The public will continue to be updated on efforts as available.
