One man is in custody after driving impaired and refusing to supply a breath sample on Tuesday afternoon.
On August 28, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. police received a complaint of an impaired driver in the 400 Block of River Street East. Officers observed a red car, matching the description given by witnesses at 6th Avenue East and 22nd Street East travelling East bound. Officers followed the car and observed driving actions consistent with impaired driving. Officers activated emergency lights and siren in an attempt to pull the car over and the driver continued to drive east bound at a low rate of speed. Police continued to follow the red car at a low rate of speed for approximately 5 blocks before the car pulled over in the 1100 Block of Branion Drive.
A 33-year-old male from Black Lake was arrested for failing to stop for police. The accused is now facing charges of operating a motor vehicle in a manner dangerous to the public, evading police, impaired driving and refusing to supply a breath sample (Info # 991063484). The accused will make his first court appearance today.
