Reported Impaired Driver

Prince Albert Police Service responded to a Reported Impaired Driver (RID) call at approximately 11:29 p.m.last night. The vehicle was seen traveling eastbound on Marquis Road at excessive speeds and had hit a side embankment while driving.

The suspect vehicle was located by patrol and pulled over. The driver had visible signs of impairment and admitted to marijuana and prescription drug usage. The suspect was brought back to the police station and a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) completed the DRE exam.

The 20-year-old male from Prince Albert is charged with impaired driving.

The suspect has since been released to appear before Prince Albert Provincial Court on January 19, 2019.
