Recovered Stolen Vehicle and Armed Robbery

On November 15, 2017 just before 1:30 p.m., Prince Albert Police Service observed a stolen car in the 100 Block of 20th Street West. Officers activated emergency lights and sirens and the stolen car ignored police and travelled north bound on 2nd Avenue West, refusing to stop. Due to public safety concerns police did not pursue the car as it continued north across the bridge. Officers observed a short time later the stolen vehicle just north of the Shellbrook overpass in the ditch between north and southbound lanes.

Officers observed a male and female fleeing from the stolen car on foot. Officers caught both suspects after a short foot pursuit.

A 29-year-old female from Prince Albert is charged with Possession of Stolen Property and Breach of Court Order (Info # 991031647). The female also had an outstanding warrant for theft of a motor vehicle.

A 25-year-old male from Prince Albert is charged with Possession of Stolen Property, Evading Police, Resisting Arrest and Breach of Court Order (Info # 991031661). The male also had an outstanding warrant for possession of stolen property.

Both suspects will make their first court appearances today in provincial court.

On November 15, 2017 at 9 p.m., while on routine patrol, officers observed a stolen SUV travelling westbound in the 600 Block of Marquis Road. Patrol officers observed the stolen SUV turn on Jasper Place, stop and numerous suspects fled on foot from the SUV.

Patrol members set up containment in the area while K9, Cst Bighetty and police service dog Daxa began a track. With the help of K9, five males were located hiding from police and taken into custody.

A 16-year-old male from Prince Albert is charged with Possession of Stolen Property and Resisting Arrest (Info # 991031671).

A 20-year-old male from Pinehouse is charged with Possession of Stolen Property and Resisting Arrest (Info # 991031670).

A 17-year-old from La Ronge is charged with Possession of Stolen Property and Breach of Court Order (Info # 991031669)

A 18-year-old male from La Ronge is charged with Possession of Stolen Property, Resisting Arrest, Break and Enter and Breach of Court Order (Info # 991031672).

A 23-year-old male from Prince Albert is charged with Possession of Stolen Vehicle (Info # 991031668).

All five suspects will appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.

On November 16, 2017 just before 2 a.m., Police were dispatched to a business in the 2800 Block of 6th Avenue East for a robbery in progress. The victim called police advising a male had come into the store holding a gun and bear mace and demanded food.

Patrol officers responded immediately and observed the suspect still in the business.

The suspect ignored police verbal commands to get onto the ground. The 17-year-old male resisted arrest but was handcuffed and taken into custody.

Police located an airsoft gun and can of bear mace sitting on the front counter of the business.

The 17-year-old male from Prince Albert has been charged with Attempted Armed Robbery, Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public x2, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Resisting Arrest (Info # 991031676).

The suspect will make their first court appearance today in Prince Albert Provincial Court.
