Members of the Prince Albert Police Service participated in National Indigenous Peoples Day celebrations in Prince Albert Friday, June 21 starting with a Reconciliation Walk to Kinsmen Park. Prince Albert Police Chief Jon Bergen and Deputy Chief Jason Stonechild participated in celebrations recognizing our diverse community and the many contributions of First Nations, Métis and Inuit people throughout the country.
The Prince Albert Police Service is proud to be part of the annual festivities celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day. A diverse force, approximately 30 per cent of Prince Albert Police Service members are First Nations or Métis.
The Prince Albert Police is committed to reconciliation and paying our respects to First Nations and Métis ancestors of this region as we reaffirm our relationship with one another.
