The Prince Albert Police Service will be doing increased traffic enforcement strengthening and checks for impaired driving and intersection safety for February and March.

The Police Service will be strictly enforcing traffic laws, focusing on impaired driving and alcohol related offences throughout major weekends. There will also be intersection safety blitzes during weekdays and weekends with Traffic officers focusing on intersection safety and motorists obeying the rules at four-way stops, lights, distracted driving etc.

SGI is funding additional police resources for the months of February and March. Part of the funding is also being used to fund 'positive tickets' which the Prince Albert Police Service has been using along with promotional items to encourage safe driving that follows the Traffic Safety Act.
