Prince Albert Police Service had a busy weekend, from Friday night to Monday morning the Service attended 258 calls for service and had 45 arrests. The top two calls for service were for intoxicated persons (35) and disturbances (34).
File # 17-36884 - Recovered Stolen Auto
On Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 3:50 p.m. on 800 Block 13 Street West patrol officers located a white truck in the back parking lot. Two males were standing in front of the vehicle. When officers pulled up to the alley the truck sped away. It was later located abandoned on 800 14 Street West and confirmed to be stolen. Officers located one male suspect at a residence nearby on 800 Block 13 Street West. The male had outstanding warrants and was arrested and taken back to cells. The vehicle was towed. The second male was not located.
The 24-year-old suspect from Saskatoon is charged with possession of property exceeding $5,000 and two breaches of court orders.
File # 17-36829 - Assault With Weapon
On Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:30 p.m. patrol was dispatched to the downtown area of Central Avenue on a weapons complaint. A complainant stated the he was assaulted by a female with a knife who also slashed his tires in an apparent dispute. The female had been accompanied by a male and female suspect. The suspects were known to the victim. Officers located the three suspects on Central Avenue on foot shortly after arresting all three. A knife was located on the person of the main female suspect.
The 34-year-old female from Prince Albert is charged with committing an assault using a weapon, committing an assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon (a knife) for a purpose dangerous to the public peace, committing mischief by willfully damaging property, a truck tire, not exceeding $5,000 and attempt to steal Canadian Currency through use of violence or threats (Information #991029417).
A 15-year-old youth from Meadow Lake is charged with breach of a youth sentence order (Information #991029418)
