Starting this weekend, the Prince Albert Police Service will be doing increased weekend traffic enforcement strengthening and checks over the holiday season. The Police Service will be strictly enforcing traffic laws, focusing on impaired driving and alcohol related offences. Prince Albert Police Service responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a school bus and a truck at 3:30 p.m., November 22, 2017 at the intersection of 1st Avenue West and 22nd Street West.   The bus did have students on board at the time of the accident.   Police are confirming that no one suffered injuries as a result of this accident.   Police are contributing icy road conditions to the accident and no criminal charges will be laid.   Sgt. File # 2017-39503: Carrying concealed weapons charge On November 15, 2017 around 4:45 p.m. officers responded to a weapons call for a male carrying a large machete. They located the suspect in the Gateway Shopping Mall food court and arrested him without incident. The male had a backpack which police searched and located a machete and two smaller knives.
