PAPS increased traffic enforcement, focusing on impaired driving over holiday season

Starting this weekend, the Prince Albert Police Service will be doing increased weekend traffic enforcement strengthening and checks over the holiday season. The Police Service will be strictly enforcing traffic laws, focusing on impaired driving and alcohol related offences. File # 2017-39503: Carrying concealed weapons charge On November 15, 2017 around 4:45 p.m. officers responded to a weapons call for a male carrying a large machete. They located the suspect in the Gateway Shopping Mall food court and arrested him without incident. The male had a backpack which police searched and located a machete and two smaller knives.
