Starting this weekend, the Prince Albert Police Service will be doing increased weekend traffic enforcement strengthening and checks over the holiday season.

The Police Service will be strictly enforcing traffic laws, focusing on impaired driving and alcohol related offences. Mothers Against Drinking and Driving (MADD) will be in attendance with officers at select check stops.

SGI is funding additional police resources focusing on impaired driving throughout the province over the holiday season. Part of the funding is also being used to fund 'positive tickets' which the Prince Albert Police Service has been using along with promotional items to encourage safe driving that follows the Traffic Safety Act.
