Media Release - Weekend Update September 14, 2020

Members of the Prince Albert Police Service responded to 294 calls for service over the weekend. Police made 41 arrests and conducted 26 neighbourhood patrols focusing on proactive enforcement.

File 2020-34878 – Impaired Driving

Members were called to the 1400 Block of 15^th Street West for a report of a motor vehicle accident. One vehicle had reportedly hit another before crashing into a tree in a residential back yard.

The incident happened just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday. A 26-year-old woman is facing charges related to impaired driving.

File 2020-34686 – Assault with a Weapon  

Police were dispatched to a business in the 500 Block of 15^th Street East just before 9 p.m. on Friday evening for a report of a man with a knife who had fled the area. Minutes later, another officer located the suspect running in the 200 Block of 15^th Street East.

A 21-year-old man is charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon and theft in relation to this incident. [Information 991139383]
