Prince Albert Police officers responded to 329 calls for service over the weekend.

File 2021-22999 – Assault causing Bodily Harm

Police are investigating a report of a stabbing in the 300 Block of River Street East early Monday morning, Police were called to the area around 4 a.m. for a report that a woman had suffered stab wounds to her legs. The suspect and victim in this file are known to each other. Officers continue to investigate.

File 2021-22984 – Possession of Stolen Property

At approximately 12:20 a.m. Monday morning, police located a man pushing a lawnmower in the 1800 Block of 6th Avenue West. Information on the lawnmower was traced to a garage at a residence in the 300 Block of 24th Street West, where police confirmed a break in had occurred.

A 32-year-old man is charged with possession of stolen property in relation to this file. [Information 991164996]

File 2021-22780 – Recover Stolen Vehicle

Police on patrol in the 800 Block of 17th Street West just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday evening located a vehicle matching the description of a truck that had been reported stolen from an outstanding file. A 37-year-old man is facing a charge of possession of stolen property in connection with this file [Information 991164926]. A second male was also arrested on outstanding warrants.

File 2021-22716

Three people have been charged following an incident Saturday morning during which residents reported hearing gunshots in the 1100 Block of 17th Street West. Police were called to the area for reports that suspects in a vehicle had fired at a residence and then quickly fled the area.

Police located the suspect vehicle west of the city along Highway 302. Two suspects were arrested following a foot chase. PSD Kal was also deployed to assist and located one suspect in the dense brush. Following the execution of a search warrant, police located a sawed-off firearm and ammunition inside the vehicle.

Two men, age 24 and 26, are facing numerous firearms-related charges in connection with this incident [Information 991164920, 991164921]. A 27-year-old woman is charged with failing to stop for police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and firearms-related charges [Information 991164918].
