File 2020-39143 – Update/ Request for Public Assistance

Trent Fox, age 19, made his first court appearance in Prince Albert Friday morning. He was arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with an incident that occurred at a business in the 3200 block of 2nd Ave West in Prince Albert at approximately10 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14th, 2020.

Upon further investigation, it is alleged that Mr. Fox hitchhiked to Prince Albert from North Battleford earlier on the evening of October 14.

The Prince Albert Police Service would like to speak with the occupant(s) of the vehicle that brought Mr. Fox to Prince Albert on Wednesday, October 14th, 2020. It is not believed that any occupants of this vehicle were involved in a criminal offence in any way, but would like to speak with the member or members of the public who interacted with Mr. Fox.

Mr. Fox was wearing a red Chicago Blackhawks toque, camouflage pants and a grey sweater when he was picked up on his way to Prince Albert.

The Prince Albert Police Service is investigating a serious incident late Wednesday night in the 3200 Block of 2nd Avenue West.

Police were called to a business in the area just before 10 p.m. for a report of a stabbing. A 21-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later transported to Saskatoon via STARS Air Ambulance.

Police took a 19-year-old male suspect into custody at the scene. He is facing a charge of attempted murder (Section 239 of the Canada Criminal Code) and will appear in court Friday, October 16th, 2020. [Information 991142647]

The Criminal Investigations Division and the Forensic Identification Section of the Prince Albert Police Service have been called in to assist with the investigation.
