Weapons Charges - June 7, 2019
A 19-year-old male is facing numerous firearms charges after some good heads-up police work early Friday morning.
On June 7, 2019 just after 2:00 a.m., while on routine patrol an officer located a suspicious male walking on 5th Avenue East in the 600 Block carrying a large duffel bag. When police approached the male, he fled on foot. Police Service Dog (PSD) Febee assisted officers locate the duffel bag the male was observed to be carrying in the 500 Block of River Street East. Officers located firearms and ammunition in the duffel bag. PSD Febee then located the suspect in a shed of a residence in the 500 Block of 6th Street East.
The 19-year-old male from Prince Albert has been charged with multiple firearms related offences as well as possession of stolen property and breach of court order (Info # 991093119). The accused will make his first court appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Monday.
