The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit has charged a Saskatoon man with three child pornography offences in relation to an investigation into the online accessing of child pornography through a popular social media app. On July 15th, 2021 members of the ICE Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Saskatoon that was identified as the location where the offences were occurring. Electronic devices were seized for further forensic analysis.
Robert Grieman, age 20, of Saskatoon was arrested on September 9th and has been charged with;
Possession of Child Pornography X2 – Sec. 163.1 (4) C.C.
Make Available Child Pornography – Sec. 163.1 (3) C.C.
He was released from the Saskatoon court by a Judge on numerous conditions this morning.
The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of the Provincial Coordinator S/Sgt Shawn Stubbs and investigators from Prince Albert Police Service, RCMP, Regina Police Service, and the Saskatoon Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
