Media Release - Male Charged in Homicide Investigation

File 2021-17971 – Prince Albert Police have charged a 24-year-old man with second degree murder in connection with the death of Norman Charles Custer. Custer, age 44, was the victim of a homicide on Saturday, May 22, 2021.

The accused was safely taken into custody Thursday afternoon northwest of Prince Albert by the Prince Albert Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Patrol and Canine sections, in coordination with the Prince Albert Detachment of the Saskatchewan RCMP, RCMP Canine Unit and RCMP Emergency Response Team. The air support team with the Saskatoon Police Service was also engaged to assist, but was called off once the accused was in custody.

The accused has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to make his first court appearance in Prince Albert on Monday, May 31 at 10 a.m. His name cannot be released until after his first court appearance. [Information 90409831]
