Dangerous Driving

Dangerous Driving: File #2018-12729

On May 3, 2018 at approximately 1:59 a.m. Patrol Unit officers observed a car without a license plate as it turned north on 2nd Avenue East and into the north alley of 25 Street East and 1st Avenue East. The vehicle had stopped in the alley and patrol activated emergency lights. The vehicle then fled and accelerated at high speeds. The vehicle was followed safely at a distance by Patrol as it went southbound onto Highway #3 and turned onto 48 Street East.

The vehicle was located a short time later by patrol on 48 Street East and when being followed by officers the driver attempted to flee again at high speeds and lost control of the motor vehicle on the gravel road and ended in the ditch. The female driver surrendered to officers and was arrested.

A 20 year old female from Prince Albert is charged operating a motor vehicle and attempting to evade the peace officer and operating a motor vehicle in a manner dangerous to the public (Information #991050176).

The suspect will answer to charges in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.
