Christmas 2017 - December 27, 2017

Prince Albert Police Service responded to 128 calls for service between the evening of December 24 and the morning of December 27, 2017 and arrested 15 people. The top two calls for service were for intoxicated persons (21) and disturbances (15).

Just before 2:00 a.m., December 26, 2017 patrol units responded to a disturbance in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 1200 Block of 28 Street East.  On arrival police located a male and female physically struggling in the rear of a taxicab.

Police arrested and charged a 26-year-old female with robbery.

The female produced a knife and demanded money from the cab driver. The cab driver struggled with the female and got the knife away. The victim suffered minor cuts to his hands and face.

The 26-year-old accused, from Prince Albert is charged with Robbery with violence and will make her first court appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court today (Info # 991036010).
