Weekend Update - July 30, 2018

Prince Albert Police Service had a busy weekend, responding to 317 calls for service between Friday evening and Monday morning. Officers made 46 arrests. The top calls for service were for intoxicated calls (64) and disturbances (45).

File # 2018-24296: Firearms Charges

On July 28, 2018, shortly before 7 pm, the Prince Albert Police Service was dispatched to the 300 Block 13 Street East on a firearms call.

The suspect of the complaint was located on 12 Street on foot and arrested by officers. A backpack was seized from the suspect which contained a sawed off rifle.

The 27-year-old male from Prince Albert is charged with five firearms related charges. (Information # 991060161)

The suspect will make his first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.
