Prince Albert Police Service had a busy weekend, responding to 246 calls for service between Friday evening and Monday morning. Officers made 42 arrests. The top calls for service were disturbance related calls and intoxicated person calls.

On Friday, July 13, 2018 at approximately 2:15 p.m. Prince Albert Police Service Patrol located a vehicle travelling on 28 Street East at excessive speeds. A Traffic Safety Act stop was conducted on the 2600 Block of 3rd Avenue East of the vehicle.
Officers approached the male driver who appeared visibly impaired. The driver also had a suspended drivers license from a previous impaired driving charge. The male suspect was arrested and breathalyzer tests were conducted which he failed. The vehicle was towed.
The 40-year-old male from Prince Albert is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, exceeding .08, breach of a probation order (Information # 991058462).
The suspect will make their first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.
File # 2018 - 22510 - Break-and-enter thieves caught
On Saturday, July 14, 2018 at approximately 11:49 p.m. Prince Albert Police Service received a call of a garage break-and-enter in progress on the 100 Block of 24 Street West. Officers arrived on scene and located two male suspects inside the garage. Both were successfully arrested. A vehicle was also recovered that was filled with suspected stolen tools and other stolen property.
The 45-year-old from Prince Albert is charged with break-and-enter of a garage (Information # 991058560).
The 25-year-old male from Prince Albert is charged with break-and-enter of a garage being at large of his recognizance to stay inside his residence from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. and breach of a probation order (Information # 991058561).
Both suspects will make their first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.
