Weekend Update – January 14, 2019

The Prince Albert Police Service had a steady weekend responding to 214 calls for service between Friday evening and Sunday morning with 38 arrests.  Top calls for service were intoxicated person calls (27) and disturbance calls (14).

ISET Drugs Search Warrant – 2019-1172

On Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 3:15 p.m., the Integrated Street Enforcement Team (ISET) executed a search warrant on a residence on the 600 Block of 13 Street West.

Located by officers was 2.3 grams of methamphetamine, nuncucks, shotgun shells, digital scale and multiple cell phones.

A 28-year-old male from Prince Albert was arrested in the residence and was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a prohibited weapon (nunchuks) and being at large of his recognizance to not possess or consume drugs (Information # 991077612). The suspect made their first court appearance last week.

Prince Albert ISET is made of members of the Prince Albert Police Service and RCMP.

MVA Impaired – Refusal – 2019-1204

On January 10, 2019 at 11:32 p.m. Prince Albert Police Service responded to an Reported Impaired Driver (RID) single vehicle accident at the intersection of 15 Avenue East / 15 Street East.   

The vehicle drove onto the meridian and became stuck.

The female driver had visible signs of impairment and was arrested for impaired driving. She refused to comply with breathalyzer exams and was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and refusal to comply with breath demands (Info # 991077627).

The 31-year-old female from Prince Albert has since been released and will appear next before Prince Albert Provincial Court on January 23, 2019.

Drugs – 2019-1474

On Monday, January 14, at 12:03 a.m., Prince Albert Police Service officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on the 100 Block of 28 Street West. A passenger of the vehicle was found to have outstanding warrants and arrested. Police located a small baggie of methamphetamine weighing .03 grams and several identification and payments cards on the suspect that were from other people.

The 24-year-old from Martensville, Saskatchewan is charged with possession of methamphetamine and two counts of breaching his recognizance orders to not possess identification cards or banking documents except those addressed to him and to comply with his curfew (Information #991077868). The suspect appeared before Prince Albert Provincial Court today.
