The Prince Albert Police Service responded to 175 calls for service over the weekend and arrested 20 people. The top two calls for service were for disturbances (24) and intoxicated persons (18).

On Friday, February 9, 2018 at approximately 4:53 a.m. Prince Albert Police Service received a call of a male driver passed out in a vehicle on the 200 Block of 8 Avenue East.
The male was woken by patrol members who found the male to have outstanding warrants and he was arrested.
While searching for evidence of drugs or alcohol in the vehicle that led to the driver to be impaired, officers found a large quantity of methamphetamine – 143 grams in several bags, cell phones, a large amount of cash, a jar of marihuana and a baton.
The vehicle was towed and the suspect was taken to cells by police.
The 32-year-old male from Prince Albert is now facing four charges: possession of methamphetamine, possession of marihuana, possession of property obtained by crime exceeding $5,000, and operating a motor vehicle while disqualified.
The suspect will answer to charges in Prince Albert Provincial Court today (Information # 991040762).
